Social Interest Solutions Updates Tool Comparing Costs across 2017 Marketplace Plans
Sacramento, CA – Today, updated with 2017 HealthCare.gov data, Social Interest Solutions (SIS) released Cost Comparisons across Plan Categories, a free, online interactive tool to help illustrate cost comparisons and trade-offs for people who are shopping for health coverage.
Online users input their age, zip code, household size and income to visually compare costs of HealthCare.gov plans across all plan categories and the risks of going without coverage.
“We anticipate that this tool will be particularly useful for those who help people enroll in coverage through HealthCare.gov,” said Terri Shaw, Vice President, Policy for Social Interest Solutions. “Our goal is to provide tools and resources to help people seeking coverage in 2017 make informed decisions.”
Cost Comparisons across Plan Categories is the latest installment in a series produced by SIS called the “ACA Spotlight.” The series, found on www.ACASpotlight.org, highlights the effects of the Affordable Care Act (ACA) on individuals and families.
